DLF Support To Uttarakhand Flood Victims

As you all are aware, Uttarakhand today stands totally devastated by floods of an unprecedented kind in the recent history of the nation. The havoc created with possibly thousands of people losing their lives, will take a long time to heal. Amidst this national tragedy, the DLF Group has risen to the need of the hour by contributing our bit towards the Relief and Rehabilitation work. It is heartwarming to note that all our DLF employees have voluntarily contributed their one day’s Basic salary towards the relief effort along with a matching grant from the organisation which has been donated to the PM Relief fund. We did not stop at this alone and decided to directly intervene in the affected areas by dispatching two medical teams to the region. DLF Foundation along with the Food Bank and CRDN also sent many truckloads of food and relief material to the flood hit areas. Some of our employees have volunteered to help in the relief work and have joined the Relief efforts there. A team under the leadership of Mr Dhiraj Singha is presently working in the upper reaches of Uttarkashi sector and has distributed three truckloads of food and relief material. The team is also supervising and coordinating the Medical camps which have been established by DLF Foundation in some of the worst hit areas in Uttarkashi sector. Medical Camps are being organised everyday to treat patients. In the first two days more than 400 people covering 12 villages were treated and provided free medicines. Some of the photographs of victims receiving treatment and relief material are attached. The complete DLF Family stands solidly behind the people of Uttarakhand and wishes to assure them of our continued support and good wishes in this hour of grief and distress.”
