We have adopted a proactive approach to improve the ecology and living conditions for the rural populations and construction workers. We have taken up integrated community development through a number of initiatives in Gurgaon, Rural Maharashtra, Rural Hyderabad and Chandigarh. Besides medical care and education programmes, the community development initiatives include construction of rural roads, renovation of village schools and panchayat buildings, providing electricity and plumbing networks, improving existing drainage and sewage systems in villages and constructing these where they are non-existent.
It has been our constant endeavour to improve living conditions in rural areas by providing them the basic necessities and creating awareness of the need for proper health, hygiene and sanitation.
In addition to these initiatives, DLF actively undertakes and supports community awareness programmes on topical subjects to help spread of knowledge in urban and rural communities.
