As part of DLF’s partnership with the Delhi Government’s Bhagidari programme - ‘Aapki Rasoi’, we are providing free mid-day meals to around 300 homeless disabled people at a temporary hutment site at the India Gate Lawns on Mansingh Road, New Delhi. The programme has been recently extended to Swapna Sarthak Schools run by us. Over 1,600 children, who were engaged inactivities like rag picking, working on roadside dhabas or as domestic servants and never had the opportunity to attend schooling, now get a healthy cooked mid-day meal along with free education. In addition to providing a nutritious meal for at least one meal for these children, it provides a powerful incentive for them to continue their schooling and helps in maintaining high retention levels in our educational initiatives.
