Greening and Plantation are a vital part of our environmental sustainability efforts. DLF Foundation undertakes extensive plantation and greening initiatives in collaboration with government authorities as part of our commitment to environmental sustainability.
In Gurugram, several green belts alongside major public roads in Sectors 67/68, 73/74, 75/75A, 76/77, 84, 91/92, 93/94, and AIT Chowk to Medawas have been adopted by DLF Foundation from the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA). In Hyderabad, DLF Foundation, in partnership with Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, continues to maintain the already developed green belts from IIIT Junction to Raddison Junction and till Jayabheri Enclave. In Delhi, the adoption of a public greenbelt has commenced on the Nelson Mandela Marg in partnership with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and Public Works Department (PwD).
The work included extensive earthwork, plantation, watering, fencing, security, signage, and maintenance. During the year, a total area of ~5,73,365 square metres was developed and maintained across various public green belts, featuring ~1,625,454 trees and shrubs or ground cover, fostering a greener future.
