Rural Infrastructure Programme

Over 12.5 kilometres of rural village roads were constructed in the villages of Narsinghpur, Nawada Fatehpur, Mewka, Naurangpur and Palra in the Gurugram district to provide connectivity between the village main roads and National Highway 48.

The importance of developing infrastructure has long been recognized by DLF Foundation as it is central to promoting economic growth in underdeveloped areas. These initiatives in rural areas have a wide-ranging impact on communities both in terms of income and improving quality of life. Ongoing government efforts need to be augmented with the support of the private sector. We actively participated in this effort in key areas such as village roads and road connectivity with mainstream road networks.

In addition, assistance was provided in the provision of basic amenities such as sewage disposal, water supply, drains and electrification. These efforts were complemented by augmenting existing resources- constructing and upgrading school halls, playgrounds and other village facilities that directly impacted the villagers. DLF Foundation, with its Rural Development Programme and Rural Infrastructure Programme, was able to achieve tremendous success in the intended areas and contribute to the overall social and economic improvement of the villages.
