The DLF Sports Excellence Programme is a Sports Promotion initiative of DLF Foundation designed to nurture and support promising young athletes across India.
The programme encourages talented boys and girls to pursue nationally recognised sports as a professional career by providing structured financial assistance, expert guidance, and access to quality training resources. Through sustained support, the Foundation aims to enable young sportspersons to achieve excellence and represent India on national and international platforms.
Nationally recognised sports such as Squash, Archery, Badminton, Athletics, Wrestling, Weightlifting, Hockey, Table Tennis, Tennis, Boxing, Shooting, Swimming, and Taekwondo continue to gain momentum in India. These disciplines contribute to global sporting success, fosters discipline, resilience, and holistic youth development.
With India’s expanding footprint at international events including the Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, and the Olympics, increasing numbers of young athletes aspire to compete at elite levels. However, limited access to professional coaching, quality sports equipment, training infrastructure, and financial resources continues to pose challenges particularly for talented athletes from underrepresented and economically weaker backgrounds.
The DLF Sports Excellence Programme addresses these challenges by offering structured, need-based support to emerging athletes.
The programme provides:
Financial assistance to remove barriers and help athletes focus on their sport and education
Access to elite mentors who provide personalized guidance and accelerate athletic growth
Top-tier sports gear and facilities designed to optimize performance and training
Competitive exposure and opportunities to showcase skills on prestigious stages
Comprehensive support covering physical, mental, and personal growth of athletes
By strengthening the ecosystem around young sportspersons, the Foundation ensures that financial or infrastructural constraints do not hinder sporting potential.
